In addition to the dentist's professional theoretical and practical knowledge, they must possess good business and management skills. Whether it's a private practice, a large-scale clinic, or a hospital, it is essential to bring together many elements for success and sustainable profitability. For sustainable success and profitability, it is wise to adopt and implement accepted professional methods instead of relying on trial and error or luck factors. A simple and renewable management style should be quite lean. Being lean means being stripped of everything that is not truly needed. In other words, lean management means producing higher quality treatment services with fewer inputs, in less time, and at lower costs. Lean management is a philosophy that foresees the development of healthcare enterprises by eliminating unnecessary steps and reorganizing the remaining ones into a continuous flow for continuous improvement. According to this approach, it is predicted that healthcare enterprises will produce treatment services with half or less of the human resources, space, time, and all production factors and related expenses they currently have. Lean management applied in your clinic will bring more time and profit to you and your patients. The path to follow is quite lean and simple. Dentistry requires not only medical skills but also good management skills and crisis management. DR. AHMET KİĞILI BIOGRAPHY
Graduated from Ankara Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry in 1992.
Served as the President of the Turkish Dental Association Chamber from 1997-2002.
Since 2003, he has continued as a consultant for the Turkey Lean Institute and a member of the World Lean Organisation due to his work on Lean Management in Healthcare, and he has publications on this subject.
Since 2004, he has been providing training and courses on Implant superstructure systems, Conscious sedation methods, Lean management, Clinic and Hospital management, Professional Presentation techniques, Aesthetic solutions in Dentistry, and Immediate applications both domestically and internationally.
Since 2012, he has been coordinating and providing courses for the IMC (International Medical College) International Master's degree program.
He has served as the Chairman of the Board of IDED.
Since 2018, he has been serving as the President of DEKİD, which he founded.
He continues his work at Confident Oral and Dental Health Center.
