Distance Sales Agreement | EDAD

1. Parties

This Distance Sales Agreement (“Agreement”) is established electronically between the following parties.

BUYER

The individual or legal entity (“Buyer”) who applies for membership or confirms the payment step by registering for an event through www.edad.org.tr. The Buyer accepts that the name-surname, email, phone, and address information declared at the payment step are correct.

2. Subject of the Agreement

The subject of this Agreement is to determine the rights and obligations of the parties regarding the sale and performance of the service, the characteristics and sales price of which are specified below, ordered electronically by the Buyer from the SELLER's website, in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 and the Regulation on Distance Contracts.

3. Information on the Service Subject to the Agreement

Type of service: EDAD membership (annual fee) or registration for seminars, courses, congresses, webinars, and similar scientific events organized by EDAD.
Price: The amount specified on the site at the time of purchase and approved by the Buyer. All taxes are included in the price. If applicable, a one-time entrance fee for membership is shown separately.
Payment method: Collected via credit/debit card through the licensed payment institution iyzico infrastructure. The SELLER does not view or store the Buyer's card information.
Performance method and duration: The service is performed electronically and/or at the specified date and place of the relevant event due to its nature. Membership service is provided throughout the membership period upon approval of the application.

4. General Provisions

The Buyer acknowledges that they have been informed about the main characteristics, price, and performance method of the service subject to the agreement before confirming the payment step and has given the necessary confirmation electronically.
The Buyer accepts that they have electronically approved this Agreement and the information in the Preliminary Information Form, and subsequently entered into a payment obligation.
If the SELLER is unable to perform the service due to force majeure or technical/operational reasons originating from itself, it will notify the Buyer and refund the collected amount.

5. Right of Withdrawal

According to Article 15 of the Regulation on Distance Contracts; the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for services related to leisure time activities to be performed on a specific date or period for entertainment or rest purposes, and for services that have started to be performed with the Buyer's approval. However, the SELLER provides ease of return for the benefit of the user under the conditions set out in the Cancellation and Return Policy. Cancellation and return requests are evaluated according to the mentioned policy.

6. Default and Force Majeure

If the payment transaction does not occur due to the card institution/bank, the SELLER's obligation to perform does not arise. In the presence of force majeure such as natural disasters, epidemics, official decisions, etc., the parties cannot be held responsible for not fulfilling their obligations; in this case, the collected amount is refunded to the Buyer.

7. Resolution of Disputes

In disputes arising from this Agreement, the Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts at the Buyer's place of residence or where the transaction is made, within the monetary limits announced by the Ministry of Commerce, are authorized.

8. Enforcement

The Buyer accepts that they have read all the terms of this Agreement at the payment step and approved it electronically. The Agreement comes into force at the moment it is approved electronically by the Buyer.
