Aesthetic restorations in the anterior region produced using digital methods offer advantages such as achieving faster and more permanent results. On the other hand, we need to evaluate each material in terms of both optical and mechanical properties, select the right material for each case, develop the correct design, and establish process strategies. Mechanical properties are crucial for achieving longevity and stability both in restorations and on the bonding surface. While we often focus on durability, factors such as void formation during crystallization, milling properties for achieving thin margins, or polishability for excellent stability should also be considered. Recently, with the addition of optical properties like opalescence and fluorescence to CAD/CAM blocks, we have sufficiently closed the gap between traditionally produced aesthetic works and the more reliable imitation of natural tissues.
