Prof. Dr. A. Burak Çankaya "Traditional Surgery or Guided Surgery in Implant Treatment?"
The predictable success of implant treatment begins with a successful osseointegration process that requires a method capable of preventing prosthetic and surgical complications. While this process depends on many factors related to the patient and the practitioner, implant positioning holds critical importance among these factors. Positioning can be achieved mostly through traditional methods or, more prominently today, with surgical guides. In traditional surgery, all factors are evaluated by the practitioner during the surgery, whereas in guided surgery, all these factors are considered beforehand, requiring a pre-surgical planning. This presentation will compare two different surgical methods through case examples.

Treatments with fixed prostheses on implants for complete edentulism are becoming increasingly popular. With advancing technologies, the possibilities of treating patients with hybrid prostheses through immediate loading have increased. This presentation will cover indications for hybrid prostheses, implant planning, materials, and both analog and digital techniques.

In modern social life, all dental treatments focus on two main parameters: clinical success and treatment duration. Optimizing these two main parameters constitutes the clinician's treatment performance. Treatment duration is a significant parameter for patients in terms of maintaining their working life and social activities. Today, the rehabilitation of dental deficiencies with dental implants has become a more accessible treatment option for society, and the shaping of these treatments according to changing societal demands has made the topic of immediate loading or immediate placement a prominent subject in both literature and clinical practice. This talk will discuss the biological and clinical advantages of immediate loading of implants in different clinical scenarios.
