The Anatomy of Failure in Anterior Composite Restorations: Problems, Causes, Solutions
This presentation will comprehensively address all critical stages affecting the clinical success of composite restorations in the anterior region. Common errors encountered in the process, ranging from enamel and dentin surface preparation to adhesive protocols, color selection and layering strategies, contour – form anatomy, finishing – polishing stages, and long-term color stability and marginal integrity evaluations, will be detailed. The biological, material-related, and operator-dependent causes of these errors will be examined in light of scientific evidence. By the end of the session, participants are expected to achieve more predictable, aesthetic, and long-lasting results in anterior composite restorations.
