AESTHETIC DENTISTRY, BACK TO THE FUTURE

We are delighted to host the 13th World Congress of the International Federation of Esthetic Dentistry (IFED), celebrating IFED's 30th anniversary, in Istanbul, Türkiye, on April 25-27, 2024, under the auspices of the Turkish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (EDAD).

The program, featuring world-renowned speakers from all around the world, promises to address the current state of aesthetic dental treatment — which has evolved from the initiatives launched by groundbreaking clinicians over the last few decades to the point we today accept as the gold standard in interdisciplinary dentistry — and to look ahead to where we may be headed in the foreseeable future (or are we already there?).

The Spanish-American philosopher Jorge Agustín Nicolás Ruiz de Santayana y Borrás, better known as George Santayana, is remembered for his famous line written more than a century ago:
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it"... and protocols have been modified to be considered successful in cases where clinical protocols fall short of the ideal; our current gold standards are continually evaluated and tested as science and clinical research pave the way to constantly improving the quality of the dental care our profession provides to our patients.

We promise that the social program organized by the host organization, EDAD, will highlight the wonders of modern Istanbul while also recalling the history of this beautiful country.
